We have exciting news to share with you all. We were able to finally give back a portion of the proceeds we made from 2020 sales to the women artisans in Nepal.
Just like the majority of small businesses, 2020 was a difficult year for us. We were not able to attend any craft shows for almost a year.
We also faced challenges while sourcing products from Nepal with random lockdowns due to rises in COVID cases there and our plan to give back a portion of the proceed early spring this year stretched till summer.
Despite all the difficulties, We feel fortunate to be able to collaborate with some locally-owned stores in Ohio to get our products to our customers and were able to continue to support the artisans in these difficult times. We cannot go without thanking our customers as this would not have been possible without their support and to keep it fair, and sticking with our pledge to support the local community, we also donated some portion of our profits to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
Our goal has always been to introduce and offer quality handmade products made by women from marginalized communities in Nepal and continue to support them by giving back each year.
